Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Removals Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and furniture to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting clients during their moving process. The ideal applicant will possess strong driving skills, physical endurance for heavy lifting, and excellent communication abilities to coordinate effectively with clients and team members.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company van, in compliance with road safety regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload furniture and household items with care, ensuring items are secure during transit.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel consumption.
- Assist clients with the moving process when required, providing friendly and professional service.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after journeys to ensure safety standards are maintained.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or removals driver, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence or equivalent, with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, often handling bulky or heavy items during loading and unloading.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Organised with good time management skills to adhere to delivery schedules.
- Physically fit, capable of standing for extended periods and performing manual tasks as needed.
Pay: £15.00 per hour
