Warehouse Operative (FLT) – Haywood & Padgett, Barnsley
- Pay: £13.40 for the first 12 weeks, £14.13 after
- Qualify for overtime pay after 12 weeks at £21.20 per hour for any hours worked over 40 in the week

The Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative/ FLT to cover ad/hoc shifts in our warehouse. Your contract would be with our in-house agency, and we can guarantee around 2 shifts per week currently, and up to 5 shifts per week at busy times. If everything goes well, there will be a possibility for a full time job on one of our teams.
As a Forklift Warehouse Operative, you will support the smooth running of our warehouse, handling raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. You will work closely with supervisors, managers, and other departments to maintain stock accuracy and ensure safe, efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating Counterbalance or Reach forklift trucks
- Picking, rotating, and moving stock across the site
- Maintaining accurate stock levels and records
- Ensuring excellent housekeeping and compliance with Health & Safety
- Reporting machinery defects and supporting basic maintenance
- Attending training and development sessions as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Warehouse experience essential
- Food manufacturing or food supply chain experience preferred
- Counterbalance FLT licence preferred
- Reach truck experience preferred
- Basic English and maths
- NVQ Level 2 in Warehousing welcomed
