We are looking for a passionate and reliable Cook/Chef to join our friendly care home team.

About the Role
You'll be responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that our residents look forward to each day. You'll create traditional home-cooked favourites alongside fresh desserts and homemade cakes, ensuring every meal is both tasty and beautifully presented.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing freshly cooked breakfasts, lunches, evening meals and light snacks.
- Baking homemade cakes, desserts and treats for residents to enjoy.
- Planning varied, nutritious menus that cater for individual dietary requirements.
- Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- Managing stock, ordering supplies and reducing food waste.
- Working closely with the care team to provide an enjoyable dining experience.
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a cook or chef (care home or catering experience is desirable but not essential).
- A passion for home cooking and baking.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
- A caring, friendly and positive attitude.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
