We are excited to be looking for a part-time Maintenance Assistant to join our facilities team.
Summary of the role:
To play a key role in ensuring Ministry of Sound's venues, workspaces and member facilities are maintained to the highest standards. Working across planned and reactive maintenance, the role supports the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the business while helping to deliver an exceptional experience for members, guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Maintenance
- Maintain the club, office and co-working spaces to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety and repair.
- Carry out routine daily, weekly and monthly inspections of the premises, plant and equipment, ensuring all assets remain secure, operational and well maintained.
- Undertake general maintenance tasks, including painting and decorating, basic plumbing, carpentry and minor electrical works where appropriate.
- Coordinate and monitor contractors and suppliers to ensure maintenance works and improvement projects are completed efficiently and to the required standard.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure all planned preventative maintenance, statutory inspections and compliance requirements are completed within required timescales.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with relevant legislation, regulations and company procedures.
- Act as a designated key holder and emergency contact, including opening the venue and responding to call-outs where required.
- Ensure all security processes and procedures are consistently followed across the premises.
Operational Support
- Manage the ordering, receipt and storage of maintenance materials, supplies and equipment.
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the business by assisting with visitors, deliveries, business continuity requirements and other operational needs.
- Work collaboratively with the Facilities, Club and Operations teams to identify and implement improvements across all premises.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support the effective operation of the business.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Competent in painting and decorating, plumbing, carpentry and some basic electrical work.
- Proficient in Microsoft programs to include Outlook, Excel, Word, OneNote.
- Contractor management experience.
- Excellent standard of customer service.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise work load.
- Good understanding of H&S.
Working hours for this role are 24 hours per week, as specified by rota. This could include some weekends. £18,000 24 hours per week. (£30,000 per annum FTE).
