The opportunity
Time For You is recruiting an experienced Private Housekeeper for one private household in Longfield.
This is an opportunity to work substantial regular hours in one home, rather than travelling between several short cleaning appointments. The successful person will have the time to understand how the household runs, establish a sensible routine and maintain consistently high standards.
This is a hands-on housekeeping role combining detailed cleaning with laundry, ironing, linen care and general household organisation. The household is looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work, notices what requires attention and is comfortable taking responsibility for both regular and periodic tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Detailed cleaning and presentation of all agreed areas of the home
- Laundry, ironing and care of household linen
- Changing beds and keeping bedrooms well presented
- Thorough kitchen and bathroom upkeep
- Tidying and general household organisation
- Planning and completing deeper and periodic tasks on a sensible rotation
- Flagging household supplies or maintenance issues when attention is required
About you
- At least three years’ paid professional housekeeping experience
- Private-household experience is preferred, although strong four or five-star hotel housekeeping or high-standard domestic experience will also be considered
- Confident managing laundry, ironing and organisation as well as cleaning
- Proactive, discreet and comfortable working independently
- Consistent, dependable and naturally attentive to detail
- Able to provide two recent, checkable professional references
- Able to travel reliably to Longfield, DA3
- Current DBS certificate or willingness to obtain the appropriate check
