Job Title: MLPP Assistant (Tiny Town & Café All-Rounder)
Overview:
As an MLPP Assistant, you’ll help create a warm, fun, and imaginative environment where children can learn through play while ensuring parents enjoy a relaxed and welcoming café experience. You’ll support daily operations across both the play areas and café, ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and with a smile. Weekend availability is essential.
This role is ideal for someone mature, proactive, and confident taking initiative in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet and check in customers, providing information about play sessions and general rules.
- Ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for all visitors
- Prepare and serve drinks, snacks, and light meals to a high standard.
- Operate the till and handle transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation across the play and café spaces (tables, counters, equipment, and floors).
- Support with opening and closing duties, ensuring all areas are ready for service.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members, parents, and children to ensure a positive and memorable experience for everyone.
- Set up, tidy, and maintain role-play areas, encouraging children’s creativity through interactive play.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience working with in a café and/or with children.
- Friendly, approachable, and confident engaging with children and adults.
- Strong teamwork, organisation, and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for play-based learning.
- Basic barista or food hygiene knowledge (training provided if needed).
- Basic first aid certification is an advantage.
