We are looking to recruit a part time Day Porter based in a high end modern building in the heart of Bridge Water Square, a residential square in the Ward or Parish of St Giles Cripplegate in the City of London and a stones throw away from the Barbican.
The apartments within the building are privately owned and you are there to look after the residents and the building, reporting to the Board of Directors and Managing Agents.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing services to the residents for the purpose of maintaining the property in a safe and attractive condition
- Assisting residents where appropriate and ensure all visitors are greeted in a helpful and courteous manner.
- To be contactable when working in areas of the building other than the lobby.
- Liaise with new tenants and owners over correct moving procedure.
- To provide an extra level of security within the building and be aware of intruders.
- To manage and distribute all parcel deliveries to residents.
- Oversee the contract cleaners
- Assisting with contractor signing-in/out/procedures on site
- Making sure that security is being maintained and that the common areas are left in a safe and clean condition.
- Undertaking the sweeping of yards and areas around the property, including removing litter from the garden and rear yard. Sweeping of the service areas, entrance drive and fire escapes. Cleaning the drains and gullies which are to be disinfected regularly.
· Put refuse out for the Council refuse collectors, including recycling bins.
· Managing any complaints in an effective manner.
- Taking the correct action should there be an emergency and advising the necessary authorities.
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties that may be requested by the Managing Agents.

- Good level of English Ability both written and spoken and good numeracy skills.
- To take pride in the appearance of the building and standards of cleanliness.
- Attention to detail in the preparation of reports.
- Good timekeeping.
- Must have a neat and tidy appearance.
- Resourcefulness, initiative and common sense in dealing with mechanical breakdowns.
- Experience in a customer service facing role
- The right to legally reside and work in the UK without any restrictions or limitations.
- No Criminal Convictions
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
