Healthcare - Warehouse and Services Assistant Manager

THE ROLE:
Join us as our Warehouse and Services Assistant Manager within the Warehouse and Site Services department.
You will be a key member of a high-performing, established team, responsible for ensuring that all warehouse and service operations across multiple sites are managed in full compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation. The role requires the effective execution and maintenance of any additional requirements set by the Warehouse and Services Manager, ensuring they are delivered to the highest standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining quality management systems and standards, including Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP), across all sites to support operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

WHERE YOU WILL BE BASED:
Swadlincote, this role is site based, there may also be some requirement to travel.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- Ensure all relevant operating areas are sufficiently resourced and co-ordinated to meet daily workloads
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, operational procedures, and performance standards.
- To coordinate the training of all Warehouse and Services staff to conduct operations in line with standard operating procedures, work instructions and best practice.
- To maintain a safe and healthy working environment in line with Company policies, procedures and current legislation.
- Lead audits and complete audit findings in a timely manner.
- Conduct monthly internal departmental audits.
- To evaluate and challenge waste streams coming out of sites and the waste management contractor.
- To manage work wear and contract and the suppliers.
- To take the responsibility of the warehouse and Services manager when required.
- To conduct training as and when required.
- To liaise with relevant suppliers and customer to conduct day to day operations as and where necessary.
- To provide cross functional support and flexibility.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
Be a self-disciplined self-starter with the ability to work autonomously. You will have excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise and react to change quickly and positively, you will also ideally have:
- Proven experience in a Warehouse and Services in a similar industry with healthcare and manufacturing experience.
- 2 years direct experience in a Warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with operating standards.
- Ability to manage a team.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills.
- Experience in dealing with customers internal and external.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop, maintain and enhance relationships with a variety of internal and external networks.

Pay: £40,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
