About English Friends
English Friends is an online English academy providing engaging, communicative English lessons to young Saudi learners.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, reliable British English teacher to join our growing online team.
This role offers a consistent weekly timetable, a friendly and supportive teaching team, and the opportunity to take on additional classes as English Friends continues to grow.
The Role
You'll teach small online group classes of approximately 10 students, aged 10–16, helping learners develop their confidence in spoken English through interactive, communicative lessons.
Working pattern
- Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons (UK time)
- 90-minute lessons
- Remote teaching from home
- Average class size: 10 students
- Students aged 10–16
- £30 per lesson
Lessons are delivered in 12-week teaching blocks, providing students with a clear learning journey.
During each block you will:
- Teach a structured programme over 12 weeks.
- Conduct short review quizzes during Weeks 4, 8 and 12 to assess progress.
- Set a short piece of homework after each lesson.
- Begin each lesson by reviewing the previous day's homework before introducing new content.
- All lessons are recorded and shared privately with students via an unlisted YouTube link. These recordings are accessible only to authorised students and are not publicly available.
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a CELTA qualification.
- Is a British English speaker (native).
- Has experience teaching English as a foreign language
- Enjoys teaching children and teenagers
- Can deliver engaging online lessons
- Is organised, reliable and punctual
- Has access to a reliable internet connection and a suitable home teaching environment
