Gas Safe Plumber/Gas engineer
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne/ North East
Salary: £36,000 + per year, depending on experience

The Role
Highview Building Group is a well-established building maintenance and refurbishment contractor based in Wallsend, working across the north east of England.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Gas safe registered engineer to join our kitchen installation team on an established social housing contract.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for stable, ongoing work with an established company. You will work alongside our kitchen installation teams, carrying out the plumbing and gas elements of kitchen installations, as well as first and second-fix plumbing and associated maintenance.
What you’ll be doing
· Connecting and commissioning domestic gas appliances, including gas hobs and cookers
· Carrying out first and second-fix plumbing
· Installing and altering water supply and waste pipework
· Connecting sinks, washing machines and other kitchen appliances
· Removing and replacing radiators, including pipework alterations
· Carrying out gas testing and relevant certification
· Diagnosing and rectifying plumbing and gas faults
· Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance to current regulations
What we are looking for
The successful candidate will have
· NVQ/ City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in plumbing and heating (or equivalent)
· Gas Certifications: Valid Gas Safe Register credentials (must include CCN1 and CKR1).
· Proven experience in domestic gas and plumbing work
· Experience installing and connecting domestic gas appliances
· Experience with general plumbing maintenance
· A good understanding of UK Gas Safety Regulations, Building Regulations and G3 requirements
· A Full UK Driving Licence
