Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable HGV Driver / Workshop Operative to join our team.
This is a varied role combining driving and general workshop duties. Depending on workload, some days may be spent entirely carrying out deliveries, while other days will involve supporting production within the workshop.
Duties
- Drive 7.5 tonne and 10 tonne flatbed lorries throughout NI and ROI
- Deliver and collect fabricated steelwork and materials
- Complete daily vehicle checks
- Load, unload and secure materials safely
- Maintain delivery paperwork
- Report vehicle defects or issues
- Assist with general workshop and production duties when not driving
- Support material handling, loading, housekeeping and other general tasks
- Follow company Health & Safety procedures
- Carry our general support work when factory based.

Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence with appropriate HGV/C1 entitlement
- Valid Driver CPC
- Previous commercial driving experience
- Flatbed or steelwork delivery experience preferred
- Good understanding of load security
- Reliable and flexible approach to work
- Willingness to carry out general workshop duties
- Good communication and timekeeping
