The Role
As our Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for the travel related benefits and company car fleet compliance across NEXT and our partner brands. You will make a critical difference by ensuring our people are kept safe, mobile, and compliant, while managing a diverse fleet of over 1,300 vehicles.
You will act as the bridge between NEXT, our external fleet management company, and our insurance partners. To help you hit the ground running, NEXT offers a collaborative working environment where you will partner with the wider HR, Facilities, and Sustainability teams , ensuring you have the training and expertise to deliver an excellent service.
What you'll take on
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the Fleet Valeting and Coordination team, fostering a supportive environment.

Work with the team to identify process improvements and efficiencies , leading projects aimed at modernising and improving the employee journey.

Oversee financial and operational risks and processes , including premium tracking, HMRC compliance for our salary sacrifice scheme , and managing processes.

Ensure the car fleet is fully maintained and compliant with all legal and safety standards , acting as the escalation point of contact to hold our external fleet management company accountable to service level agreements.

Lead the internal accident management process, handling post-collision support with genuine care and signposting employees to relevant resources and support.

Record and analyse incident data, identifying driving trends or skills gaps, and using these insights to shape future driver training initiatives.
What you'll bring
- Experience in managing a team within fleet management, fleet compliance, or an HR benefits role with a heavy fleet focus , combined with a strong understanding of driver compliance, risk management, and health and safety regulations.

A highly organised approach with the ability to manage multiple projects and complex schedules.

Confidence in managing external vendors, holding suppliers to high standards, and collaborating with internal insurance teams.

A self-motivated and proactive attitude, complete with the ability to interpret data to spot trends and gaps.

A full driving licence is highly beneficial for this role.
