Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our care home team, dedicated to delivering exceptional senior care. This vital leadership role involves supporting the management team in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of care, and fostering a warm, respectful environment for residents. Responsibilities
- Assist the Home Manager in coordinating all aspects of care delivery within the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
- Supervise and support care staff, promoting best practices in assisted living, nursing, and dementia care
- Contribute to the development and implementation of personalized care plans that meet individual needs and preferences
- Oversee medication administration processes to ensure safety and accuracy in line with healthcare regulations
- Lead daily team briefings, foster effective communication, and motivate staff to deliver compassionate, high-quality care
- Monitor resident well-being closely, respond promptly to concerns, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for all residents
- Support the recruitment, training, and supervision of care staff to maintain a skilled and motivated team committed to excellence in senior care
- Develop and review care plans with a person-centred approach and hold regular family and resident reviews
Qualifications
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments, with a strong understanding of senior care needs
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a care home setting is essential
- Knowledge of dementia care practices, Alzheimer’s care strategies, and medication administration protocols
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise and inspire a diverse team of healthcare professionals
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, staff, and external healthcare providers
- Relevant qualifications in nursing or healthcare management are highly desirable and a minimum of a Level 3 in health and social
- A genuine commitment to providing person-centered care that respects dignity and promotes independence
