Skilled/ Semi skilled HGV fitter required for busy transport company based in the Poulton-Le-Fylde area, successful applicant will assist in the day to day general maintenance of our own and customers commercial fleets.
What the position involves:
- Mechanical, electrical repair and preventative maintenance of our own and customer vehicles and trailers.
- You will also diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical defects and related ancillary equipment in compliance with company and legislative requirements.
- Prepare and present vehicles for Annual Test, carry out brake tests
- Ensure work is completed to the required standard
- Be polite and courteous to customers and other members of staff at all times
- Monday to Friday Working with alternate Saturday Mornings required
Skills and knowledge:
- You will have relevant technical experience gained from working in a relevant workshop
- The ability to work to your own initiative or as part of a team is essential
- Applicants should have a full clean driving licence (HGV licence would be advantageous)
- Hourly rate depends on experience.
