Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Butcher / Driver. This role combines the essential skills of carcass butchery with the responsibility of safe and efficient transportation. As a key member of our food service operation, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality products while maintaining strict food safety standards. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help us serve our customers with excellence every day. We pride ourselves on delivering quality products consistently. Our customers don't simply receive what we have available, they receive what they are expecting, 52 weeks of the year.
Duties
- Breaking down Carcasses into primal cuts as well as boing out Fores, Flanks and Rumps as per customer specification.
- Load, unload, and deliver Meat Carcasses and boxed Beef to independent Butcher shops and other food manufacturing businesses in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food preparation area, adhering to hygiene standards
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations
Skills
- Strong knowledge of butchery techniques, carcass anatomy and meat handling procedures
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices in a food environment
- Excellent driving skills with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. For insurance purposes candidates must be over 25yrs of age.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good physical stamina for lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth operations.
Monday to Friday
5am Start - Job and finish. Typically 12-1pm

Pay: £29,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
