In this role, you will work both collaboratively and independently using SOPs, GMP and COSHH guidelines, taking responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of aseptic staff and cleanroom activities. You will organise and prioritise workloads across assembly and preparation areas, supporting both routine and fast-track services, and ensure the safe and effective preparation, checking and supply of aseptic medicines.
You will demonstrate accuracy, dexterity and attention to detail when preparing and assembling medicines against orders, ensuring all documentation is completed in line with procedures. You will carry out in-process checks, post-process reconciliation, and ensure the quality and accuracy of medicinal products. A good understanding of protocols is essential, alongside the ability to assess situations, make sound decisions and escalate issues where appropriate.
You will also ensure the safe use and routine checking of cleanroom equipment, reporting faults and managing deviations in accordance with procedures. In addition, you will contribute to maintaining high standards by supporting colleagues, promoting best practice and ensuring compliance at all times.
The post is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week; to be worked flexibly over a 4-day working week (Monday to Friday) but the post holder must be able work until 7pm as part of some of the shifts. You will also be expected to participate in Bank Holidays and Weekends on a rostered basis. The department aims to support flexible working arrangements where possible.
