Our HCAs support clients in their own homes, helping them stay independent, comfortable, and connected to their community. You’ll become a familiar, trusted presence in their daily lives often visiting the same clients multiple times a week and becoming part of their routine and support circle.
Your responsibilities will be varied, meaningful, and rooted in person‑centred care.
Personal Care & Daily Living
- Support clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Assist with safe mobility around the home
- Help clients maintain routines that support independence and dignity
Medication Support
- Prompt or assist clients with prescribed medication in line with care plans
Meal Preparation & Nutrition
- Prepare meals tailored to dietary needs
- Offer feeding support where required
Companionship & Emotional Support
- Provide warm, human connection to reduce loneliness
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that enrich their day
- Support social visits, community outings, grocery trips, and life events
Health Monitoring & Reporting
- Observe and document client wellbeing using our digital care planning system
- Communicate changes promptly to senior staff
Light Domestic Support
- Maintain a safe, tidy home environment through light cleaning and laundry
Safeguarding & Compliance
- Uphold ECC’s safeguarding standards
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all health & safety procedures

Essential Qualifications
- Care Certificate (all 15 standards)
- Safeguarding Level 2
- First Aid Awareness
- Oliver McGowan training
- Full UK driving licence & access to your own car

Pay, Mileage & Benefits
- £13.85 per hour starting salary, adjusted for experience
- 45p per mile mileage reimbursement
