The Role
We’re opening Malone’s Dundee and we’re recruiting Assistant Managers and Duty Managers to help build and lead the opening team from day one.
Start date: Beginning of September to support training and pre-opening set-up.
You’ll work closely with the General Manager and Ops Manager to deliver a strong pre-opening, an excellent launch, and a consistent guest experience week in, week out. These roles suit hands-on leaders who thrive in busy services, love building teams, and understand what great looks like in a wet-led, high-energy venue.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the opening of Malone’s Dundee and helping set the tone for the venue
- Leading shifts and being visible on the floor: service, standards, pace and atmosphere
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and retention of the opening FOH team
- Running key trading moments (sport, live music, weekends) with strong planning and control
- Supporting stock control, cash handling, compliance and daily/weekly checks
- Helping deliver sales growth while maintaining strong labour control and standards
- Building local relationships and helping establish Malone’s as part of the Dundee scene
Who we’re looking for
- Experience as an Assistant Manager / Supervisor / Duty Manager in a busy pub, bar or hospitality venue
- A hospitality-first mindset and a positive, can-do attitude
- Strong people skills: coaching, standards, and leading by example
- Commercial awareness (sales, labour, stock, and service impact)
- Calm under pressure and confident running shifts independently
- An interest in sport/live music/late trade (or the appetite to learn fast)
- Local knowledge of Dundee (or a strong desire to become part of the community)

Pay: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
