Overview

Please note that this is a freelance, ad hoc position with no guaranteed minimum hours. Work will be offered as and when the business requires support.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness in all food preparation areas
- Engage with staff warmly, taking orders accurately and providing excellent service
- Manage time effectively to handle busy periods smoothly while ensuring quality standards are met
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and operated safely according to health guidelines
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a barista or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for coffee culture is essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper hygiene standards
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for cash handling and order processing
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates positive customer interactions
- Basic food preparation skills and familiarity with handling kitchen equipment are advantageous
- Reliable and self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a freelance capacity
