Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to inspire students through engaging and dynamic physical activities. Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate physical education lessons that promote fitness, coordination, and teamwork.
- Adapt activities to meet the individual needs of students, including those with special educational needs or disabilities.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages participation, confidence, and enjoyment in physical activities.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to develop personalised programmes for students requiring specialised assistance.
- Supervise students during outdoor play, sports events, and organised activities ensuring safety at all times.
- Incorporate inclusive teaching methods suitable for working with children of varying abilities, including toddlers requiring care and attention.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behavioural observations related to physical education sessions.
Qualifications
- recognised qualification in Physical Education or a related field. Level 2 multi skills as a minimum
- Experience working with children across different age groups, particularly in educational settings.
- Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learning needs, including tutoring or one-on-one support where necessary.
- Experience in toddler care or early childhood education is an advantage but not essential.
