Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Assist with seating arrangements and provide menus, offering recommendations when necessary.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all dietary requirements are noted.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Support catering events as needed, assisting with setup, service, and breakdown.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of food preparation techniques and hospitality best practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant or bartending roles is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- A proactive attitude towards helping guests and colleagues alike.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
