Job Title: Charity Assistant
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Main Purpose of the role
To assist the Operations Manager with the day to day running needs of the charity and to contribute to the delivery of a high-quality service.
Main Duties
To assist in the day-to-day operations of the charity shops
To assist with the day to day running of the befriending café
To assist with the preparing and serving of food in the café and kitchen
To assist with cleaning and sterilizing of all areas of the Wellbeing centre
To assist with the team in the sunflower centre
To assist clients with the bathing facilities
To ensure that all clients are dealt with in a courteous, friendly, and efficient manner that respects their dignity, independence and right of choice.
Plus, any other duties that are required for the smooth running of the charity.
General Administrations
To comply with the appropriate procedures for reporting and record keeping, including the secure maintenance of service user’s records
To record all monies and expenditure in accordance with set procedures
Quality Assurance
To support the wellbeing centre in ensuring that the service is delivered with sensitivity and acknowledges the person’s right to dignity, respect and choice always, regardless of their physical or mental frailty.
To work with the wellbeing centre to maintain service standards.
To consult with service users and their carers on the delivery of the service
External Relations
To ensure that service users, family carers, relatives, staff from other agencies and members of the public are dealt with in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner as expected of a caring organisation.
Internal Relations
The charity aims to maintain goodwill among all its staff and volunteers. To assist in achieving this aim, employees are expected to work with other staff and volunteers, in their service or any other, in a courteous, co-operative and sympathetic manner.
Policies and development
To read and comply with policies and procedures of the charity.
To identify training needs and undertake any such training as requested by the management team.
To attend staff meetings as required

Pay: £12.83 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 18.0 per week
