Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the organisation’s accounting functions. Duties
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate ledger entries
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements as required
- Utilise accounting software such as , Sage and Xero to record and update financial data
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain organised financial documentation and files for audit purposes
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial information
- Monitor outstanding debts and follow up on overdue accounts
- Assist with general administrative tasks related to finance functions
Experience
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounts assistant roles is desirable
- Familiarity with accounting software including Sage and Xero is essential
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards
