The Business Hut is a growing accountancy practice, helping small businesses with bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and annual accounts compliance. We're looking for an experienced, organised and proactive Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our friendly team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with a variety of clients and is confident using Xero to deliver accurate, high-quality bookkeeping services.
The Role
As our Bookkeeper, you'll manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, ensuring their financial records are accurate and up to date.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing sales and purchase invoices
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Maintaining accurate financial records in Xero
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Assisting with month-end bookkeeping tasks
- Liaising with clients to resolve bookkeeping queries
- Supporting the wider team with finance administration where required
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has proven bookkeeping experience (essential)
- Is confident and experienced using Xero
- Has a good understanding of VAT
- Has excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Can manage and prioritise multiple client deadlines
- Has strong communication and customer service skills
- Is proactive and able to use initiative
- Will bring energy and enthusiasm to our team
Desirable
- ICB or AAT qualified or working towards an AAT qualification
- Experience working with multiple clients or within an accountancy practice
