Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Groundworker/Dumper Driver . In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating dumper trucks to transport materials around construction sites efficiently and safely. You will also assist with groundworks, site preparation, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials to support ongoing projects. Your energetic approach and attention to safety will contribute significantly to project success and team productivity.
Duties
- Operate dumper trucks to move soil, gravel, debris, and other materials across construction sites with precision and care
- Assist with groundworks, including site leveling, excavation support, and preparing foundations as needed. Helping with drainage and landscaping.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained properly, conducting routine checks before use
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate material deliveries and site logistics efficiently
- Keep accurate records of materials moved and work completed during shifts
- Support general site duties such as clearing debris, assisting with manual tasks, and maintaining a tidy work area
Experience
- Previous experience operating dumper trucks or similar construction machinery is highly desirable
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively within a team environment
- Valid certification for operating dumper trucks (such as CPCS or NPORS) is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided for the right candidate
- Strong physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks and operate machinery throughout the day
