About the Role
Hate My Phone Ltd is looking for a practical and technically minded Device Repair Technician to join our refurbishment team.
You'll be working behind the scenes repairing and preparing phones and tablets before they are returned to stock or sent to customers.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working with technology, solving problems and learning how devices work.
Your Day-to-Day Work
Depending on your experience and training, you'll be involved in:
- Diagnosing faults on mobile phones and tablets
- Replacing screens, batteries and other components
- Carrying out basic hardware repairs
- Disassembling and reassembling devices
- Testing devices before and after repair
- Identifying faults and deciding on the appropriate repair
- Following repair procedures and quality standards
- Checking that repaired devices are fully functional
- Recording repair work accurately
- Keeping the repair area clean and organised
Who We're Looking For
You don't necessarily need years of repair experience. We're interested in people who have the right attitude and are willing to learn.
You'll need:
- Good attention to detail
- Good hand skills and coordination
- An interest in phones, tablets and technology
- The ability to follow technical instructions
- Patience when working on small components
- A good approach to problem-solving
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A strong focus on quality
Previous experience repairing phones, tablets, laptops or other electronics is an advantage.
Training can be provided for candidates with the right attitude and aptitude.
Hours & Contract
This is a zero-hours contract, with the opportunity to work either part-time or full-time hours depending on business requirements and your availability.
Hours are generally worked during the daytime, Monday to Friday.
As the business grows, there may be opportunities for increased hours and progression for the right person.

Experience
Repair experience is preferred but not essential.
