Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Gateman / Traffic Marshall for 6 months to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians around a busy construction site and designated areas. The location for this vacancy is Coventry and the assignment will be ongoing for the successful candidate paying £14.50ph. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a keen sense of responsibility, ensuring that all traffic regulations are adhered to while maintaining a smooth flow of operations on site in Coventry.
Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the flow of traffic in designated areas, ensuring safety for both vehicles and pedestrians around a busy construction site.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and pedestrians to provide clear instructions and guidance.
- Monitor traffic conditions and report any issues or incidents to the relevant authorities.
- Assist in the maintenance of traffic control equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate traffic management strategies during events or peak times.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while on duty.
