ABOUT THE ROLE
Central Auto Centre is a busy, well-established garage based in Orpington, Kent. We carry out a wide range of work including servicing, MOTs and complex repairs across all makes and models. We're looking for an experienced Master Technician to join our team and play a key role in our workshop.
- Carry out advanced diagnostics, servicing and repairs across all makes
- Fault-find and resolve complex issues using diagnostic equipment
- Conduct MOT tests to the highest standard (if authorised)
- Support and mentor junior technicians in the workshop
- Ensure every vehicle leaves completed to the highest standard
- Work closely with the business owner to drive quality and efficiency
- Help build a workshop known for professionalism and customer trust
This is a Monday to Friday role — no weekends — with a salary of £55,000 or more depending on experience.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience as a Master Technician or Senior Technician
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) — desirable; full training offered if not held
- Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement
- Confident with diagnostic equipment and software
- MOT tester qualification — desirable but not essential
- Strong fault-finding ability across all makes and models
- Takes ownership and holds themselves to a high standard
- Can inspire those around them without being asked
- Full UK driving licence
