As Solutions Engineer, you will play a central technical commercial role in supporting GEA’s batch granulation equipment portfolio within the Oral Solid Dosage business, reporting to the Sales Director, and based at our Core Technology Centre in Eastleigh.
You will act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries related to batch granulation equipment, working closely with our regional sales organisation. Your role involves translating technical requirements into competitive proposals, coordinating with internal specialists, and ensuring that GEA’s solutions are clearly defined, commercially attractive, and technically deliverable.
You will combine commercial drive, process knowledge, and strong communication skills to win projects and position GEA as the partner of choice for batch granulation solutions.
Take ownership of the full sales cycle process for batch granulation enquiries – from lead through to signed order
Partner with regional sales teams to position solutions effectively within assigned territories, executing day-to-day sales within an agreed strategy and pricing framework
Ensure timely and consistent follow-up on all enquiries, maintaining a high standard of responsiveness
Participate in technical discussions and negotiations with customers as required
Analyse customer URS documents and define optimal technical solutions in collaboration with process and design specialists
Develop and deliver structured, persuasive technical and commercial offers tailored to key decision-makers
Manage pricing, costings, and internal alignment using GEA’s quotation tools and systems
Lead the creation and improvement of technical proposals, presentations, and sales documentation
Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, status updates, and reporting using the company’s SAP CRM platform
Manage structured project handovers to the execution team after contract award
Coordinate with the marketing team for region-specific campaigns, product launches, and customer engagement initiatives
Represent the Eastleigh technology centre as the global point of specialisation for batch granulation technology
Continuously develop your understanding of GEA’s technologies and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
This position is permanently based at our technology centre in Eastleigh, UK.
Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally (approximately 30%) for customer meetings and trade shows.
