Duties
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately fabricate aluminium components.
- Use hand tools and power tooling to cut, shape, grind, and assemble sheet metal and aluminium parts.
- Perform welding operations with precision to join aluminium pieces securely while maintaining structural integrity.
- Operate grinding equipment to smooth surfaces and achieve desired finishes on fabricated parts.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot fabrication issues and optimize processes for efficiency.
- Measure materials and finished products using basic math skills to ensure accuracy and quality control.
- Assemble fabricated components into complete structures or assemblies according to project requirements.
Skills
- Extensive experience in fabrication techniques specific to aluminium and sheet metal work.
- Proficiency with grinding tools, welding equipment, and hand tools necessary for detailed assembly work.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand material properties, tooling functions, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints with attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments during fabrication.
- Knowledge of tooling maintenance and safety procedures in a workshop environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly during complex fabrication tasks.
Pay: £25,420.00-£44,209.74 per year
