The Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and hardworking Café Team Member to join our team. You'll play an important role in creating a memorable experience for every customer by preparing high-quality food and drinks, maintaining excellent hygiene standards, and providing outstanding hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee and traditional Portuguese espresso to a consistently high standard.
- Bake and present pastel de nata and other pastries throughout the day.
- Prepare and serve authentic Portuguese sandwiches, including bifanas, and other menu items.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Operate the till and process customer payments accurately.
- Keep the café clean, organised, and fully stocked at all times.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Restock ingredients, monitor stock levels, and report shortages.
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Represent the Bifanata brand with professionalism and pride.
What We're Looking For
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for customer service.
- Barista or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High standards of cleanliness and organisation.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays when required.
