Trainee Admin and Sales Estimator
A superb opportunity for an experienced Technical Sales Estimator to join a leading UK supplier of staircases, windows and doors. For more than a decade, we have worked in partnership with several of the UK's leading house builders, property developers and the public. We are now looking to expand our customer base and further recruitment is required to support our next level of growth.
THE COMPANY
Central Joinery Group is comprised of three divisions, each specialising in manufacturing an extensive range of high-quality, beautifully crafted & responsibly sourced timber products.
In 2004 and 2008, we opened two purpose-built facilities, representing an investment of over £1.75m. Our environmentally friendly Swadlincote sites are strategically located at the heart of the country, close to major road networks, ensuring reliable nationwide deliveries through our modern vehicle fleet.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?
Reporting to the General Manager you will be expected to:
- Receive enquiries and tenders from customers and preparing these in a timely manner.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and site information to determine project scope.
- Provide sales support to all our customer base.
- Follow up all tenders to obtain feedback and project updates.
- Identify and communicate business opportunities with new potential customers.
- Working closely with suppliers to obtain support and keep up to date with new products and price increases while ensuring stock is available on time for successful project delivery.
- Processing of orders in preparation for manufacturing.
- Liaising with the team to ensure production is on track and customers are updated.
- Any other support task as requested.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
- Relevant experience in sales and estimating preferred but not essential.
- An understanding of the fundamental methods of joinery construction would be preferred .
- A positive attitude and a good team player, being able to quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, IT, Numeracy and Analytical skills required.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Driving license is beneficial as site visits may be required.
