The Role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our team as a Workplace and Events Operative for one of our clients in central London. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting event setups, managing workplace operations, handling mailroom duties, performing administrative tasks, and ensuring a seamless and efficient environment for employees and guests.

What does being a Workplace and Events Operative look like?
You will spearhead the logistics and guest experience operations, delivery exceptional service to all visitors. Your will be responsible for the below service delivery lines within the Workplace role:
- Shipping and Logistics
- Reception
- Events
You will lead the shipping and logistics, while being the responsible person for all workplace services. Your polished presentation, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills, will ensure seamless interactions with clients and stakeholders, enhancing the overall experience. Additional information about the role:
1. Event Setups
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, move, and set up equipment such as tables, chairs, audiovisual equipment, and other materials.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure event setups are accurate according to specifications, including layout, decorations, and technical requirements.
- Time Management: Efficiently manage time to complete setups within designated timelines.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of audiovisual equipment setup and troubleshooting.
- Room Setups: Assist with room setups in event spaces, conference, and meeting rooms.
- Furniture Moving: Move office furniture around the building and manage minor desk/office moves.
2. Administrative Tasks
- Organisational Skills: Maintain accurate records, schedules, and inventories.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication to liaise with event organisers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Office Software: Competence in using office applications like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and event management software.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately, such as booking venues, processing invoices, and managing registrations.
- Stock Management: Manage client stock of stationery and copy point areas.
3. Mailroom Operations
- Sorting and Distribution: Efficiently sort incoming mail and packages and distribute them to the correct recipients.
- Package Handling: Safely handle and deliver packages, understanding the procedures for both regular and special deliveries.
- Record Keeping: Maintain logs of received and dispatched mail/packages.
- Customer Service: Provide assistance to employees regarding mailroom services, ensuring a helpful and courteous manner.
4. Workplace Operations
- Facility Management: Take ownership of office floors and surrounding areas to create the best employee experience. Assist in the general upkeep of the workplace, including managing office supplies, ensuring cleanliness, and addressing any maintenance issues.
- Health and Safety: Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors for supplies, maintenance, and other services.
- Problem-Solving: Help to resolve unexpected issues that could affect the guest experience and quickly address and resolve any operational issues that arise.
- Reporting Faults: Report and log any building faults identified.
- Initiative: Work on their own initiative to improve workplace operations and resolve issues independently.

- Flexibility: Adaptability to handle various tasks and the ability to work irregular hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends if required for events.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments.
- Customer Service Orientation: Focus on providing excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanour in all interactions and tasks.
- Multitasking Ability: Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality and efficiency.

Monday to Friday: Between Regular shifts are 08:0 – 19:00, however will need to be flexible to work between 07:00 – 19:00.
