Location: The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant – Crieff
Hours: Part time – Wednesday to Saturday (5.30pm – 8.30pm)
Contract type: Permanent
Nestled within Scotland's oldest working whisky distillery, The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant offers a truly unique dining experience and is proud to hold two Michelin Stars. Led by Executive Chef Mark Donald, our team is passionate about delivering exceptional food, world-class service and unforgettable guest experiences.
We are looking for a warm, professional and guest-focused Host to join our dedicated front-of-house team.
About the Role
As Restaurant Host, you will be the first point of contact for guests arriving at The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant. You will offer a warm, genuine welcome, support a smooth arrival experience and help set the tone for an exceptional evening.
Key responsibilities
You will welcome guests on arrival, guide them to their table, the bar or lounge, and ensure any coats or bags are stored carefully through our cloakroom process.
You will communicate clearly with the restaurant and wider hospitality teams, helping to ensure guest details, special requests and any assistance requirements are handled professionally and shared with the Restaurant Manager where needed.
The role will also include supporting the restaurant team where required and keeping the reception area clean, organised and welcoming at all times.
About you
You will be friendly, confident and motivated, with a natural ability to engage with guests and make them feel welcome. You will take pride in creating a positive first impression and enjoy being part of a team that delivers exceptional service.
You will bring excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and a calm, flexible approach in a busy service environment.
Previous front-of-house or hospitality experience is required, and experience with online booking systems would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
