As a Catering Supervisor with ISS UK, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality catering service, ensuring consistently excellent standards for our students, staff, and visitors. Your primary focus will be providing nutritious, great-tasting food while creating a positive dining experience for everyone.
You will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the school catering operation, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, safely, and within agreed budgets and performance targets.
The Role
- Plan, organise, and coordinate daily catering operations to achieve financial and performance objectives.
- Lead, motivate, and support your team, promoting a culture of excellent customer service and high standards.
- Set a positive example through a hands-on approach and strong leadership.
- Ensure food preparation, presentation, and service consistently meet quality standards.
- Create and manage cleaning schedules, ensuring hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
- Carry out general catering duties as required to support the smooth running of the service.
- Monitor stock levels and support ordering processes to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
- Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and visitors, delivering an outstanding customer experience.
About You
- Previous experience within a catering environment, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, professional, and hardworking with a positive attitude.
- A team player who works collaboratively with colleagues and customers.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards.
- Able to work independently and use initiative when required.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and food hygiene standards within a catering environment.
