Job Summary.
Due to some of our dedicated team leaving for university, we are seeking a passionate and versatile person to join our team at Tagzvondeni Kennels.
The ideal candidate will join the team as a kennel hand.
This role primarily cares for the four-legged guests we have staying with us.
Typical Shift is, 8:30-16:30
Although this role is a zero-hour contract, ideally candidates should be available to work at least 3-5 days a week.
The reason this role is a zero-hour contract is due to the seasonal patterns of holidaymakers.
A few months of the year, we see less traffic through our establishment leading to a decline in required team members.
Candidate must have a passion for dogs and ideally animal care related experience / qualifications
You must be able to work under pressure, doing physically demanding work.
Good eye for detail with excellent observational skills.
Willing and able to handle large, boisterous dogs and dogs of a nervous disposition.
Hard worker with a positive attitude.
Excellent customer service skills.
Candidate must be able to drive due to semi-rural location and live within reasonable commuting distance.
Pay meets minimum wage, with a paid 1-hour lunch.
Responsibilities and Duties
Cleaning animal accommodation
Providing feed and water to animals
Exercising dogs
Monitoring the health and welfare of dogs
Meeting and greeting owners
Bathing and grooming
Any potential candidate will be welcomed to undertake one day paid trial.
