Responsibilities
- Supervise daily dog daycare activities, ensuring all dogs are safe, comfortable, and engaged during playtime and rest periods
- Lead and motivate a team of animal care staff, providing training, guidance, and support to uphold high standards of care and customer service
- Monitor dog behavior continuously to prevent conflicts and respond promptly to any issues or emergencies
- Coordinate scheduling, check-in/check-out procedures, and maintain accurate records of all canine guests
- Uphold health and safety protocols, including cleaning routines, sanitation practices, and heavy lifting when handling large or energetic dogs
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dogs’ behavior, health concerns, or special needs
- Manage inventory of supplies such as toys, bedding, cleaning products, and safety equipment
Skills
- Prior veterinary experience or strong background in animal care to understand canine health and behavior
- Excellent customer service skills to build trusting relationships with pet owners and address their needs confidently
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large dogs or equipment
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and train staff in a fast-paced environment
- Strong observational skills for monitoring dog behavior and ensuring safety at all times
- Clear communication skills for effective team coordination and client interactions
