Role Summary:
- Finance Officer for Communities Together East Anglia and their trading company Aspire Together CIC. To oversee and complete the day-to-day financial management tasks within the office ensuring they are managed in a timely way, therefore ensuring the smooth financial operation of the businesses by maintaining good cash flow.
Job Responsibilities:
Finance Officer -
- To manage and complete all necessary financial management tasks within the office. Namely invoicing to customers, managing incoming invoices, purchasing, bookkeeping, supplier liaison, credit control and control of bank accounts and corporate insurances.
- To manage the payment systems, card machines and website shopping cart implemented to accept funds in various forms and the security thereof.
- To ensure the financial integrity of the business and its accounts by conducting regular reconciliations of all its accounts.
- To provide financial statements and reports to the business as and when required.
- To provide information to the external accountant to produce the company’s annual reports and financial statements in keeping with the prevailing HMRC/Accountancy reporting guidelines.
- Calculate any variances from budget, or bank account discrepancies and report significant issues to management
- In co-ordination with the relevant managers produce annual operating budgets and forecasts to departments and monitor ongoing spend / variance against those budgets.
- Management of office assistant for matters relating to finance, overseeing that all finance administration is undertaken in a timely, accurate and effective way.
- To manage external audits and be the point of contact for such audits.
- To establish, foster and maintain close working relationships with other functions to allow swift resolution of issues and sharing of knowledge.
- To provide strategic support by advising legal/regulatory implications of decisions and guidance on governance issues, ensuring the charity complies with relevant legislation and regulations.
General –

Person Specification:
Professional qualification such as AAT or similar
Good working knowledge of Sage
Ability to do payroll using Sage
Able to use Microsoft programs
Team player
Personable
Accurate in their work
Salary and Hours
The post is for 20 hours a week, worked over 4 days. Some hours can be worked remotely once fully trained.
Salary of £20 per hour.
Pay: £20.00 per hour
