We are currently recruiting for an experienced Brickwork Improver to join a well-established bricklaying team on a long-term residential/commercial construction project in Newmarket. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for stable, ongoing work with a reputable contractor.
The Role
As a Brickwork Improver, you'll be supporting experienced bricklayers with all aspects of bricklaying and site preparation, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
Duties will include:
- Assisting bricklayers with all aspects of brickwork.
- Mixing mortar and preparing materials.
- Loading out bricks, blocks, and other materials around site.
- Cutting bricks and blocks to size.
- Keeping work areas clean, organised, and safe.
- Assisting with setting out and general bricklaying tasks.
- Following site health and safety procedures at all times.
- Working efficiently as part of an established site team.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Brickwork Improver.
- Good understanding of construction site health and safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
- CSCS Card (Essential)
- Own PPE.
- Own Tools
