Our Quality Management System is certified to AS9100D, and quality is central to everything we do.
We are a close-knit team with a strong culture of continuous improvement, and we are currently investing in an exciting project to implement a new, modernised Quality Management System, offering the successful candidate a genuine opportunity to shape how quality administration works here.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality System Administrator to join our team. Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, you will play a central role in the day-to-day running of our QMS and in supporting quality compliance across the business.
This is a hands-on role with real breadth. You will own key administrative processes within the QMS, support our internal audit programme, help coordinate CAPA investigations, and maintain the controlled document library that underpins how we operate. A significant part of the role will involve writing and reviewing Job Instructions, the detailed procedural guides that support our production and support teams, as well as managing customer and third-party specifications (including IPC, ISO and BS standards).
As part of a small quality team, your contribution will be highly visible and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and take on increasing responsibility over time.
Joining us on a full time, permanent basis, you will receive a competitive annual salary starting at £28,020.
What are we looking for (Essential):
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate and well-structured documentation
- High level of attention to detail, particularly when reviewing or producing procedural or technical documents
- Advanced IT literacy, including confident use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good analytical and numeracy skills, with an ability to work with quality data and metrics
- Organised and methodical, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team
- Professional communication skills and a collaborative, can-do attitude
What Would Strengthen Your Application (Desirable):
- Experience working within a QMS environment (document control, change control, internal auditing or CAPA)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS 9100 or comparable quality management standards
- Previous experience writing or reviewing controlled procedures, work instructions or job instructions
- Background in manufacturing or another regulated industry
- Experience with audit management or document control software
- Awareness of IPC standards or PCB/electronics manufacturing (beneficial but by no means essential)
