Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Joiner/Carpenter to join our construction team. Duties
- Fabricate, assemble, and install bespoke timber structures and fittings according to project specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform joinery tasks including cutting, shaping, and fitting wood components
- Assist with roofing tasks, including installing rafters, sheathing, and weatherproofing materials
- Conduct basic plumbing and masonry work as required on-site
- Carry out construction painting to prepare surfaces for finishing
- Engage in heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to meet project demands
- Read technical drawings and schematics accurately to ensure precise execution of work
- Collaborate with other trades such as electrical or plumbing teams to coordinate tasks effectively
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, and fabrication techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised construction equipment
- Strong knowledge of roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems, and construction painting is desirable
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
