Flexi First Class Care Ltd is a growing social care provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care to vulnerable children and young people.
As we open our first Children’s Home, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Trainee Registered Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career and progress towards becoming a Registered Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to help establish a brand-new service while receiving hands-on support, mentoring and structured development from an experienced Responsible Individual and senior leadership team.
The Role
Working closely with our Responsible Individual, you will support the registration, opening and development of the home while building the skills and experience required to progress into the Registered Manager role.
You will help create a safe, nurturing and positive environment where children and young people feel valued, supported and able to achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the registration and opening of the Children’s Home.
- Support the day-to-day management and development of the service.
- Promote high-quality, child-centred care and positive outcomes.
- Ensure safeguarding, Ofsted and regulatory standards are maintained.
- Support the recruitment, induction and development of the staff team.
- Assist with care planning and ongoing review of children's needs.
- Build positive relationships with local authorities, professionals and families.
- Contribute to quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement.
- Develop your leadership and management skills with a clear pathway towards Registered Manager.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about improving the lives of children and young people and is ready to progress their career.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience working within children's residential care.
- Previous senior, supervisory or leadership experience.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and children's legislation.
- Knowledge of Ofsted requirements, or a willingness to develop this.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards it.
- Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills.
- A positive, professional and solution-focused approach.
Experience as a Deputy Manager or senior team member within an Ofsted-registered children's home is desirable.

- Guidance with policies, procedures, compliance and quality standards.
- Support with recruitment, team development and staff management.
- Regular management and quality assurance support.
- Ongoing training and professional development.
- A clear development pathway towards Registered Manager.
You will not be expected to do this alone. Our aim is to give you the training, experience, guidance and confidence to become a successful Registered Manager.
