Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Rigger to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient rigging of heavy equipment, structures, and materials on-site. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, along with the ability to operate various tools and machinery. The Rigger will play a vital part in ensuring that lifting operations are conducted smoothly, adhering to all safety standards and regulations.
Duties
- Set up, inspect, and operate lifting equipment such as cranes, hoists, and winches to move heavy loads safely.
- Rigging in pumps and testing them as per test procedures and/or customer requirements.
- Test Pumps in front of customers and third party inspectors.
- Attach rigging gear including slings, shackles, hooks, and chains to loads in preparation for lifting.
- Coordinate with Production manager, Test Team Leader and Senior Test Engineer effectively.
- Ensure all rigging equipment is maintained in good condition and report any defects or damages immediately.
- Follow all health and safety procedures to prevent accidents or injuries during lifting activities.
- Maintain detailed records of rigging activities and inspections
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work methodically under pressure.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and site management.
- Attention to detail to ensure safety standards are consistently met. 37.5 hours per week (1 week Monday to Friday 06.00 - 14.00, 2nd week Monday to Thursday 14.00-22.00, Friday 06.00 - 14.00 - 30 minutes unpaid lunch break each day.
