Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Preschool Assistant to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with lesson planning, and help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for preschool children. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to early childhood development while working closely with experienced educators.
Duties
- Implement the daily continuous provision planning and deliver group activities.
- Assist with classroom management to ensure a safe and organised learning environment
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth
- Help with classroom routines including snack time, outdoor play, and nap schedules
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalised assistance
- Maintain clear communication with parents regarding children's progress and behavior
- Contribute to curriculum development by suggesting creative educational strategies
Skills
- Experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages
- Knowledge of special education needs and working with children with autism or disabilities
- Ability to assist with lesson planning and curriculum development
- Excellent classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and engagement
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with children, parents, and team members
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and toddler care practice.
