We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Clinical Systems Support Officer on an initial 12-month contract. During this period, we will review SystmOne support requirements across the team and use that learning to shape the future role profile.
You will be a key point of contact for SystmOne and related clinical systems, supporting colleagues to use SystmOne effectively. This is not a software development or coding role. The role will focus on setting up new starters, delivering user training and developing our training offer, building and maintaining templates, questionnaires and guidance within SystmOne, supporting data quality, and working with teams to improve day-to-day processes across the Hospice.
You will:
- Have experience of supporting colleagues to use an existing system, ideally in a healthcare, clinical or busy operational environment.
- Be confident building or maintaining templates, forms, questionnaires, guidance or similar resources within a system.
- Communicate clearly and confidently with colleagues to understand user needs, resolve queries and improve processes.
- Have experience in creating guidance, delivering training and supporting colleagues through change.
- Be highly organised, accurate and able to prioritise competing demands.
- Have good general IT skills, ideally including experience of SystmOne or another clinical system.
- Be flexible, proactive and committed to St Gemma’s values.
This is an excellent opportunity to help colleagues get the best from clinical systems that support high-quality patient care and staff experience. You will work mostly on site, with some opportunity to work from home. We offer a competitive benefits package including generous leave entitlement.
Please read the Role Profile and Employee Specification before applying.
St Gemma’s is an exciting, supportive and caring place to be. If you believe you have the experience and qualities for this role, we look forward to hearing from you.
For informal enquiries please contact: Sam Kell [email protected]
Closing date: Sunday 23rd August 2026
Interviews: Tuesday 1st or Wednesday 2nd September 2026
Interviews will include competency-based questions and may include brief Word and Excel tests. A short second-stage interview may follow the next week if needed.
We encourage early applications and may interview candidates or close the vacancy before the closing date if sufficient applications are received.
