Houghton Group is a growing construction, electrical and renewable contractor delivering works across Essex and the surrounding counties for local authorities, housing associations and commercial clients.
As our Retrofit division continues to grow, we are looking for an organised and people-focused Customer Liaison Officer / Project Coordinator to support our Delta Retrofit Programme.
The Role
This is a varied customer-facing and project coordination role, typically split between three days visiting residents on site and two days in the office.
You will be the main point of contact for residents throughout their retrofit journey, from initial surveys and pre-condition visits through to completion and handover. You will need to be confident visiting residents in their homes, building rapport, explaining upcoming works and handling questions or concerns professionally.
Alongside resident liaison, you will support the project team with appointments, planning, administration and coordination to help keep the programme running smoothly.
You will work closely with managers, supervisors, surveyors, engineers and our client, acting as an important link between residents and the delivery team.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for residents.
- Visit residents to complete Resident profile assessments and pre-condition surveys.
- Arrange surveys, appointments and installation dates.
- Explain planned works and identify individual resident needs or concerns.
- Maintain communication with residents before, during and after works.
- Handle customer queries and concerns professionally.
- Complete end-of-job resident handovers and gather feedback.
- Coordinate appointments, engineers' diaries and site visits.
- Update project systems, trackers and documentation.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the project team.

- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
- Social housing or resident liaison experience.
- Construction, planned maintenance or retrofit experience.
- Previous Customer/Resident Liaison or Project Coordinator experience.
