Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced fork lift driver who holds a current fork lift licence to join our team. As a fork lift driver safely loading or unloading pallets and various fork lift work on our site as well as assisting on the yard in general duties . Working hours are 6.00am - 2.45pm Monday to Thursday and 6.00am until 2.30pm Friday(these hours include a daily paid break of 20 minutes and a daily unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes.)
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload pallets, ensuring proper handling with a fork lift truck and securing of pallets by safely strapping
- Complete necessary paperwork stock management sheets and pre checks for forklift
- Perform routine forklift inspections and maintenance checks
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers
- Operate a counterbalance forklift truck in a safe manner and following instructions from yard supervisors and yard manager for the movement of timber and pallets on the site
- Maintain a clean tidy fork lift
- Be aware that you may be called on for assisting in other yard duties
Experience
- Ability to handle physical work, including lifting and carrying heavy items
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet delivery deadlines
- good at working in a team
- current forklift licence with at least 12 months experience preferred
- Positive attitude to Health and Safety
