As a PFI Expiry Co-Ordinator – Hard FM in our healthcare facilities management team, you’ll support the successful handback of University Hospital Wishaw and other identified contracts, ensuring assets, documentation, and facilities meet contractual requirements. Your work will help maintain safe, compliant healthcare environments while supporting the long-term success of essential public services.
Working closely with the Regional Handback Manager, you’ll bring together colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to coordinate complex handback activities. By ensuring assets remain fit for purpose and contractual obligations are met, you’ll help create positive outcomes for healthcare providers, patients, and local communities. What you’ll do as a PFI Expiry Co-Ordinator – Hard FM
You’ll be entrusted to:

Support the planning and delivery of handback activities, ensuring compliance with Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contractual requirements.

Coordinate lifecycle and backlog works with colleagues, ensuring assets remain compliant, safe, and fit for continued use.

Act as a key day-to-day contact for handback matters with site teams, special purpose vehicle (SPV) partners, NHS stakeholders, and external consultants.

Support condition surveys and validation activities, ensuring findings are documented and aligned with asset performance requirements.

Maintain handback programmes and risk registers, monitoring progress against key milestones and escalating issues where required.

Ensure accurate and timely submission of operational and maintenance documentation, compliance records, certificates, and asset information.

Support negotiations and technical discussions regarding condition, compliance, lifecycle, and contractual matters.

Produce progress reports for internal leaders and external stakeholders.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have…

A degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or equivalent qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.

Experience within Hard Facilities Management (Hard FM), ideally gained in a healthcare PFI environment is desirable but not essential.

Strong knowledge of lifecycle management, compliance requirements, contract management, and asset-related activities.

The ability to interpret technical documentation, contractual information, and asset data accurately.

Experience using Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems, Microsoft Office applications, and asset database is desirable but not essential.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust across multiple organisations.

A proactive, organised, and solution-focused approach, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Membership of any of the following institutions would be advantageous but, not essential IAM, IET, MSOE, IMechE, IFSM, CIBSE, IWFM, IHEEM.
