Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Quality Engineer to join our team.
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements through systematic inspection, testing, and quality assurance processes. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity and reliability of products, thereby ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with industry standards. The Quality Engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including production, design, and supply chain, to identify quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. By leveraging analytical skills and a thorough understanding of quality methodologies, the Quality Engineer contributes to the organization's commitment to excellence and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and continually improve the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with applicable standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the internal and supplier audit programmes, including planning, conducting audits, reporting findings, and verifying the effective closure of corrective actions.
- Coordinate and host external certification and customer audits, ensuring successful outcomes and timely resolution of audit findings.
- Review, maintain, and update quality procedures, work instructions, and controlled documentation to ensure the QMS remains effective and aligned with business processes.
- Monitor non-conformances, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and quality trends, driving root cause analysis and verifying the effectiveness of implemented actions.
- Chair the weekly Material Review Board (MRB) meeting and support cross-functional teams in the resolution of quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, A3, and Lean Six Sigma.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, including process capability studies and projects that improve quality performance and operational effectiveness.
- Support operational performance through participation in daily review meetings and by promoting a culture of compliance, continuous improvement, and quality excellence
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrable quality assurance experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of quality systems, procedures and statistical techniques
- Detailed understanding of external audit & standards e.g BSC, ISO 9001
- Experience working with inspection equipment
- Ideally trained in internal auditing
- Strong computer skills, particularly Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
