Role:
We are seeking a Barista for bakery FOH shifts in East Finchley, N2 0SZ and occasionally some shifts in our bakery in Highgate N6 (near the tube)
This role involves providing excellent customer service, food and speciality coffee preparation, and contributing to the smooth running of the bakery. The ideal candidate will be confident, reliable, able to use their initiative and make decisions and possess strong time management skills with an eye for detail.
The role is for 16-24 hours a week over 2-3 shifts a week and working hours are between 7.30am and 4.30pm.
Saturday shifts are required every week.
Fixed days off are Sunday-Tuesday.
Responsibilities:
- Welcoming customers in a friendly manner and providing efficient service
- Follow guidelines and maintain quality for our display and during food preparation; this includes making sandwiches and fillings daily
- Prepare high quality coffees and other drinks as a barista
- Assisting senior team in coordinating daily operations and logistics across sites
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery, including kitchen and serving areas
- Creating social media posts and promoting seasonal events and products
Requirements:
- Previous barista experience is essential and experience with speciality coffee preferred
- Reliable, punctual and willing to solve problems and contribute to the team
- Experience with food preparation and a passion for good, high quality food
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude
- Confidence to work independently, as well as alongside the team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances
- Willingness to work at our other bakeries as needed including occasionally in Holloway, N7.
